Remote sensing is the acquisition of information about an object or phenomenon without making physical contact with the object and thus in contrast to on site observation.<\/p>\n

Relying on this basic understanding above, it covers a broad understanding of the type, object, method, image processing information, applications, and so on. It is implied the multidisciplinary nature as a science. The integration of knowledge and utilization of the field of remote sensing is not only for experts, but also for common people as well as realize that the development of remote sensing technology to bring a positive impact, either directly or indirectly for human kind welfare, so then\u00a0 it is necessary to forming a community such as Indonesian Society for Remote Sensing (ISRS) \u00a0or it called Masyarakat Ahli Penginderaan Jauh Indonesia (MAPIN) in Bahasa. We hope through MAPIN, it able as a breakthrough and mobilize efforts in the field of remote sensing operations in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
