The 3rd International Conference of Indonesian Society for Remote Sensing (ICOIRS) 2017

The 3^rd International Conference of Indonesian Society for Remote Sensing / PIT Mapin XXIV (24^th ISRS Annual Scientific Meeting) has been successfully held in Patra Jasa Hotel Semarang Indonesia. The event was held in accordance with ISPRS (international Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) WG V/8 and attended by participants from 9 countries, e.i Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia, USA, France, Netherland, Thailand and Indonesia.

Officially opened by the rector of Diponogoro University, the keynote were Chairman of BIG, Deputy Chairman of LAPAN, Prof. Magaly Koch (USA), Prof Tian-yuan shih (Taiwan), Dr. manzul Harazika (Thailand), Prof Yuei-an liou (Taiwan), Prof. David Menier (France), Dr. Rahman Syaifoel (Netherland). 3rd ICOIRS were attended by 300 participants with 250 abstract. The selected papers will be published in IOP conference proceeding, Geoplanning Journal, International Journal of Biotropia (the southeast journal of Biology) and 3^rd ICOIRS proceeding.

The award also been given to the best persenter/ Indroyono award (Dr. Agustan from IPB) and best paper/ Yacub Rais award (Dr. Kumsatul from IPB).

The most important thing form this event that, Mapin/ISRS announce ISRS student chapter with Mr. Hendra Irawan Ferdiansyah as the first President.

Within the closing ceremony, the next host of 4^th ICOIRS, ISRS Makassar regional chapter, welcome all of the participant to mark the next year calendar for participating this prestigious scientific event of remote sensing stakeholder.
